Question 3 answer. Creating one's self is better to improve your life, because it's like a child views the world...as its play toy.. By creating you build the wold as you see fit
"Can love be truly selfless, or is there always some form of self-interest involved?"
Love can be both selfless and selfish. It's a feeling one has, which results in desires to treat others well, to "put others first", but since the feelings are personal, the love itself is selfish. I don't think there is any way to measure and compare what love truly feels like for each person.
I think even "selfless" love gives pleasure to the person giving it. It can be a pleasure of satisfaction, such as bequest in one's will to another not expecting it. That pleasure in in imagining how grateful the receiver will be rembering you for the gift.
From a definition:
selfless
/sĕlf′lĭs/
adjective
Having, exhibiting, or motivated by no concern for oneself; unselfish.
"a selfless act of charity."
I think the example in quotes is an oxymoron. Some people contribute out of guilt, but most, I believe, gain pleasure in charirable acts, i.e., there is something in it for themselves, though it is not "selfish," i.e., solely for themselves.
Heroism depends on the cause. Sometimes patriotism calls for selfless act of sacrifice, but in the name of what? Wasn’t it used to manipulate the masses into war and hate too many times? Just think the current wars. As Harari says, most wars are waged for a story, not for a real need.
2. A thin layer, once scratched, revealing a villain.

5. A broad category covering noble ancestors, ignored and minimized.
6. A convenient category one places those that do what one cannot or will not.
7. A citizen, rightly informed.

"True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost." Arthur Ashe
